The BG Sports team would like to congratulate Patriots linebacker Jonathan Casillas on his second Super Bowl victory! Casillas, who started the season on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers roster, was traded to the New England Patriots for two draft picks. Casillas added well needed depth to the defense in the middle of the season, as well as played an integral part for the special teams unit.

According to Comcast Sportsnet New England head coach Bill Belichick said, “guys that weren’t with our team in the beginning of the year that came in later on and had a significant impact. Those signings were, I’d say, as much as part of the players wanting to play here as much as it was us wanting the players on our team. It worked out,” when referring to the acquisition of Alan Branch, Legarrette Blount, Akeem Ayers, and of course Jonathan Casillas.

This adds another title to Casillas’ resume, as he was part of the Saints championship run his rookie year in 2009. The BG Sports team would like to congratulate the New England Patriots and Jonathan Casillas on another title, as we close the chapter on the 2014-2015 NFL season.
